INTERDEPENDENCE DAY IN
NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA
SEPTEMBER 12, 2005
***
Interdependence Day will be celebrated all day on Monday, Spetember 12th, 2005. Albright Memorial Library will be hosting and sponsoring several events of the day, and Channel 61 will broadcast several events LIVE.

The purpose of Interdependence day is to challenge the direction of the world's current choices to wage war, litigate or avoid conflict by expanding our own choices. The theme of this year's celebration is “Arts and Culture at the Heart of Interdependence."

Interdependence Day has an offical website. To view the full schedule of events, click here. The Reference Department will also be distributing bookmarks listing the day's events and times.

Pictured above are Sister Margaret Gannon from Marywood University and our esteemed Library Director Jack Finnerty, who are co-chairing this year's Greater Scranton Interdependence Day Celebration.

AN EXTRA SPECIAL THANKS to the wonderful Sister Margaret Gannon and Mr. Finnerty for allowing me to use the picture in our blog.
