VIRTUAL REFERENCE
NOW AVAILABLE
FROM ALBRIGHT

Albright Memorial Library has been selected as one of 20 test sites for a new chat-based virtual reference titled Ask Here PA, which is set to go statewide with 24/7 reference service in September 2006. Presently, the service is offered Monday through Friday from 12 NOON to 5 PM.

GLORIA JEAN: A LITTLE BIT OF HEAVEN

Just added to the Local History AND Circulating collections is Gloria Jean: A Little Bit of Heaven. The book is Jean's authorized biography written by Scott MacGillivray and jan MacGillivray.

The book tells the true life story of Gloria Jean, born in Buffalo and raised in Scranton, PA, who became a child star in Hollywood with films such as The Under-Pup and W.C. Fields' Never Give A Sucker An Even Break. The book also includes Gloria's recollections of growing up in Scranton.

Gloria Jean: A Little Bit of Heaven is currently on display on the New Books Shelf in the Reference Department. The call number is:
