The Albright Memorial Library is proud to host its own Socrates Café, the widely popular philosophy discussion forum. Prof. Phil Jenkins from Marywood University will be the facilitator. Each gathering brings together people from all walks of life and experiences to raise questions, listen to, and discuss a topic chosen by the group that evening.

Socrates -- the Greek philosopher after whom the group is named -- exhorted his students to "follow the argument wherever it leads." All sessions are committed to open, respectful philosophical discussion and debate. All are welcome. No prior learning is required.

BONUS HOLIDAY
LIBRARY LINK OF THE MONTH

THE CHRISTMAS SPOT

Here's a really fun link that I found to get you into the holiday spirit.

A site called The Christmas Spot offers 101 FREE videos of holiday movies, specials and videos that can be watched right on your PC.

From classic flicks (It's A Wonderful Life) to holiday specials (A Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer) to holiday episodes of your favorite TV shows (The Office, Seinfeld, The Simpsons) to Christmas music videos (Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas?; Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You) to commercials (remember the commercial that had Ronald McDonald ice-skating?)--even some holiday stinkers (such as the infamous and rarely seen Star Wars Holiday Special and the cult classic Santa Claus Conquers the Martians) are here for your viewing pleasure.

There are 40 days left until Christmas, so get into that holiday spirit by watching some online Christmas cheer at The Christmas Spot!

AND if you want EVEN MORE Christmas videos, shows, commercials and specials, check out http://www.xmasdvd.com/!
