Lackawanna County Children's Library Blog - Operated by unofficial spokesbird Cal (headliner of the library's puppet shows), the Children's Library blog features pictures from library events, story time books, crafts and songs and much more.

LACKAWANNA COUNTY LIBRARIES
ACCEPTING NEW HATS, GLOVES & SCARVES
FOR WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER

From the desk of Library Administrator Mary Garm:

The Lackawanna County libraries will be collecting new winter hats, gloves, and scarves for donation to the Women’s Resource Center shelter until December 18, 2007. Collection boxes will be set up soon.

FUEL ECONOMY GUIDE 2008
NOW AVAILABLE IN PRINT AND ONLINE

The US Department of Energy recently released the Fuel Economy Guide: Model Year 2008. Copies are available in the Reference Department; it's also available online at http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/FEG2008.pdf

Previous years are also available online for every year going back to 2000.

Several library-themed items (including books, ornaments, First Night Buttons and even Office Convention T-Shirts), are available to purchase at the Albright Memorial Library Holiday Boutique.

Items for sale are on display in the main lobby at the library, and all can be purchased at the Circulation Desk.

REFERENCE CLOSES AT 3 PM;
LIBRARY CLOSES AT 4 PM

The Reference Department will be closing at 3 PM on Friday, December 21st for a library function. The remaining departments and offices at Albright Memorial Library will close at 4 PM on the 21st as well.
