Due to weather conditions, the Albright Memorial Library, the Lackawanna County Children's Library, and the Nancy Kay Holmes Branch will open at 11AM on Tuesday, October 30th.

Library Closing at 1PM

Due to weather conditions, the Albright Memorial Library, the Lackawanna County Children's Library, and the Nancy Kay Holmes Branch will close at 1PM on Monday, October 29th.

Library Will Be Closed Election Day

Albright Memorial Library will be closed Tuesday, November 6th for Election Day.

Socrates Cafe Thursday, November 15th at 6:30 PM In Community Room

The next Socrates Cafe will be held on Thursday, November 15th at 6:30 PM in the Community Room (basement of the Lackawanna County Children's Library). This event is handicapped accessible.

Facilitated by Professor Phil Jenkins from Marywood University, Socrates Cafe brings together people from all walks of life and experiences to raise questions, listen to, and discuss a topic chosen by the group that evening.

The Foundation Directory Online  is a unique database containing information on nearly 100,000 foundations, corporate donors, and grantmaking public charities in the US.

Learn how to search for potential funders and get hands-om experience with a trained professional.

Fran Lebowitz Tickets Now Available; Event Is Free With Your Library Card

Tickets for the upcoming Fran Lebowitz American Masters Lecture are now available at the Circulation Desk, the Scranton Cultural Center Box Office, and all member libraries in the Lackawanna County Library System.  Tickets are free with your library card.  The lecture will be on Thursday, October 8th at 7 PM at the Scranton Cultural Center.
