Socrates Cafe Thursday, March 21st At 6:30 PM

The next installment of the library's Socrates Cafe will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 6:30 PM in the Community Room (basement of the Lackawanna County Children's Library). This event is handicapped accessible.

Each gathering brings together people from all walks of life and experiences to raise questions, listen to, and discuss a topic chosen by the group that evening.

Socrates--the Greek philosopher after whom the group is named -- exhorted his students to "follow the argument wherever it leads." All sessions are committed to open, respectful philosophical discussion and debate. No prior learning is required.

The Socrates Cafe is free, but please call 348-3000 ext. 3043 to reserve your space, as it is limited to 25 people.
